What’s new?! As part of Mid America Motorworks’ growth plans, the Funfest Show Field, along with more show displays, including the Club Field are shifting to the north side of the corporate building. We are excited to have added a new paved road and other in-roads to our 100 acre property. We hope you will be as excited about the new additions as we are!
If you have purchased or rented a special “Corvette” tent from Mid America Motorworks your tent will be already set-up and waiting for you. These tents will have a hang tag attached with the owner or renter’s name. If the tent is rented, and you decide to buy it and take it with you – that’s no problem – just come to the customer service area and tell them what you want to do - they will take care of you.

I am commited to parking with the Corvette Action Center this year as I helped organize the club parking starting last September right after the last one and I am buying the tent for that one. A C3 tent would be awesome !!!
But I will see you all there !
Rent it for $100 or buy it for $130?
I bet they sell a bunch of them.
Seems like a good price too.
Yeah, they pretty much make it so you want to buy it. 130 is not a bad price at all, especially since it has the Corvette logo on it. I paid about that much for a plain white one. Is it a "EZ-UP" tent? If so, then it is worth it!
... Wonder if the special "Corvette" tent can be gotten with C3 logo and lettering? ...
I contacted MAM about the tents and it is kind of like ordering a Model T - you can get it in any color you want as long as it is black and you can get any generation you want as long as it is a C6. I'll check some prices locally before I decide on getting one through MAM.
... If I happen to sell my 68 before Vettefest can I park with you guys with my 99? ...
Absolutely - the more the merrier...!!!
Adam,
Put Jane and I down for club parking.
Thanks, Butch

Hi Tux!!!
We will be driveing the C5 because 31mpg ( with air on and I
don't mean Jane talking) is a little hard to pass up. Also a lot
easier on her knees. We are looking forward to seeing you and
Lora again. Get all your new dog stories ready.
Adam,
My 78 is being restored, I'll be there with my Black 2001 if that's OK?

I sure wish I could park with you guys but that would just be wrong . All those C3s !!! Maybe we will be parked close anyway...
For those that haven't already,
Please visit https://www.c3vr.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=65 366
We need information. We need people.
We can call your parole officer and get you special permission to come. We cannot ask your wife for permission for you, personally I am scared of them.
This event is huge and the best exposure for C3VR is people meeting people and telling them about it. Wear those T shirts and people will ask. I have two of them now and wear them to car shows and Corvette functions and people ask me what its about. They are like me ...heard of it but wasn't really sure what it is.
See you guys and dolls at FUNFEST 2006

Not to bash anyone - but flail away...!!! One would think that they of all people would have ANY generation logo available. But at least we're not the only generation getting short shafted on that.
I checked Northern Tool+Equipment and they have what looks to be the same canopy for $11 less. So add in the shipping and MAM's price is competitive.
... The deadline (Friday) is coming up quick!
That was FAST...!!! Today is the last day to signup for the C3VR club parking area. Don't be left out in the masses...!!!

We will eventually find a C3 tent and it might have C3VR on it in BIG LETTERS..
BUMMER I had something come up so I can't make it on that weekend. I can offer my pass to jetta or anyone who can use it. Let me know. Terry

Say it isn't so ! But I understand, I just cancelled my reservations for C3X for this year. I could easily buy another Vette for what I spend a year on hotel and travel to these things but I love the cars and tolerate the people well.
Not to make you feel even worse but ... do you know what a party you are missing?
Maybe next year !
As soon as Funfest is over, I have to start getting the Vette(s) ready for Eureka Springs. I am not sure which one to take... pick one? drive both? trailer them? decisions decisions.......
That will be my last event of the year with the exception of maybe a local cruise in or maybe a car show to support a worthy cause.
Hang in there !!!!!!!

Thanks for the kind words cj. I know I'll miss a good time, but duty calls. I do plan (come high or heckwater) to be in Bowling Green for the Extravaganza. Hope to see a bunch of you there. I'm dying to meet the people who have helped me so much. HAVE A BLAST!!

Terry, sorry to hear you won't be able to make it to MAM-FF this year. And thanks for letting us know as soon as you did so your club parking spot could be reassigned.
Kelly - you're in!
Adam forwarded me an e-mail tonight with updated info needed for gaining entrance to the club parking area. I'll forward it out to all on the list before the end of the Labor Day weekend.
fyi - the reason for the 8/18 signup deadline was because a count of how many cars from our club would be in the parking area needed to be submitted to MAM for planning purposes. If anyone else who has signed up for the club parking area has a change of plans please let me know as soon as possible so your spot can be given to another member.
Thanks!
... Hope to see you in Bowling Green!! ...
Unfortunately I won't be able to get to BG this year. MAM-FF will be the last out-of-state spin this year. Too much other trekking has wiped out the vacation time (and travel budget!) for the balance of the year. Hope to get there again tho'. Great place!
Jim:
I just now saw the post for special C3VR parking at the Mid America meet. (Shamie on me for not getting on the site as often as I should.) As you know, we are coming along with the Bogedain's (The Great Pumpkin) and have advised of our availability to help in the C3VR tent. Is it too late to obtain permisssion to park our two cars in the C3VR parking area? I understand if it is too late to late, however it would be nice to have as many cars there as possible.
Thanks
Bob Hamilton
Jim just in case there are some people out there that didn't get in on time for club parking. Corvette Action Center has a thread on parking at Funfest and we have maybe a couple extra parking spots left. The pass is there in the thread to just be printed out. Also I don't know what Corvette Forum worked out but they are telling members (so I heard) just come on no pass needed, plenty of room. That one sounds fishy.
You can go to www.madvet.com and click on Funfest, on the lower left hand side is a map of the grounds that can be printed off. I printed it off and taped the pieces together to make a poster of the grounds and where everything will be this year.
See you all at Funfest, Its going to be a Blast !
So far only Jetta 111 has replied (thanks Kelly!) that the parking pass has been received. In order to get into the club parking area you NEED TO PRINT AND FILL OUT THE PASS and have it on your dash as you pull up to the gate.
I doubt I'll be on-line again after lunch-time on Wednesday as I'll be packing and loading up after work in the evening so if you have not received the e-mail I sent out last week with the info let me know ASAP.
Jim did you find anyone to help you set up on Thursday yet?
Not yet. Is your offer still open? I'm not sure exactly when I'll arrive in Effingham but I want to be there before they close up shop for the day.
Thanks for the reply Butch!

Larry - here's the reply I received regarding adding more cars to our club parking space:
Hi Jim. I hate to say no, but at this time I feel that is the best answer. We have mapped out all the clubs in the parking field and accounted for your last count. Hope the others are not too disappointed! The club field is going to be awesome this year. We have had a tremendous response. There are 45 clubs altogether which account for 1,032 cars!!
See you in a few days. You’re going to have a GREAT time!
Thanks (again) to assistance from Scott (cj5nutz) and Butch and Jane (butch's vettes) the C3VR Club Parking tent is setup and ready to go. We're located straight in from Gate 4 (but you have to enter at Gate 5). At the end of the blacktop look to your left for a RED TENT in the second row (there's a C3VR banner hanging on it also).
So if you need a spot to get out of the sun for a bit stop by and enjoy the shade...!!!
Very nice in deed!! So how many showed for our C3VR family? Or this all from the photos. Hope everyone had fun!!
