PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS VERY CAREFULLY!

I will be putting together a 2011 C3VR Member Calendar. It will be a 12 Month Calendar featuring C3VR Members' C3s!  They would be similar to the ones I created here:
http://stores.lulu.com/vrllc

I need your photos!!!

Please read this ENTIRE post BEFORE submitting your photo. Especially the part about photo file quality!!

Submission deadline is 11/15/2010!

Rules for submission:
Follow these rules very carefully! If any rule is ignored or information requested is missing, your entry will be discarded.

All submissions will be reviewed and judged on the following criteria:
  1. Quality THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!  The image file must be of a substantial quality in regards to DPI (eg. 300) and Resolution (eg. 1760x1168). The higher these numbers are, the better it will look when printed, especially on a calendar. You'll probably need a 2.1 megapixel camera or better, set at the highest quality setting possible.
  2. Artfulness - The image should be tasteful and free of anything that would detract from the Vette. For example, no people, no other cars, no business signsExamples of good backgrounds are: open fields, a park, a tree-lined 2-lane road, your driveway, etc.
  3. Framing - Framed so that the entire Vette is in the picture. It can be taken from any angle except straight on of the rear.
  4. Scenery - The prettier the background, the better. Plus, keep in mind that we'd like to have season appropriate photos. For example, a background of trees turning color in the fall; trees and flowers blooming in the spring; snow covered roadway in the winter, etc.
The more of these criteria that you meet, the more likely your photo will be used.

Submission info:
  1. You may not submit an entry for the 2011 calendar if you were featured in the 2010 C3VR Member calendar.
  2. You may send One (1) to Three (3) photos.
  3. In the body of your email, specify the following specs:
    • Your C3VR Member Name and/or ID Number
    • Model Year
    • Exterior Color Name
    • Engine Type (eg. L48) and/or Size (eg. 350/174hp)
    • Any special type (eg. Collector's Edition, Silver Anniversary, etc)
    • Year Purchased
    • Where photo was taken, if you think it is worthy of mention
  4. In the body of your email, specify how you want your name associated with the picture if it is used. You may specify one of the following:
    1. Do not use your name
    2.  - OR - Specify your C3VR Member name and your Real First Name
    3.  - OR - Specify your C3VR Member name and your Real First & Last Name
  5. In the body of your email, specify how you want your location associated with the picture if it is used. You may specify one of the following:
    1. Do not use your location
    2.  - OR - Specify your City and State, Country
    3.  - OR - Specify your State, Country

If you have any questions, please email PM or EMail me.

WHERE TO SEND YOUR SUBMISSION:
EMAIL your submission to:   CalendarREMOVETHIS@C3VR.com
MAKE sure to take out "REMOVETHIS" from the email address! This is for SPAM protection!

Submission deadline is 11/15/2010!

If your submission does not get selected, you will NOT be contacted.  I simply do not have time to send everyone an email.

If your submission IS selected, you may not be notified directly.  You will have to check the page that is created for ordering the calendar once it has been completed.

If you send an email to address above and it is not bounced back (returned) to you, then I DID receive it.  There is no need to send me a separate email asking if I got it.

Thanks and good luck!

You may have to spell out what a stock photo is for those from flyover country.   Approve

It is not something that Wall Street buys or sells.  Clap

It is a photo you take when you have your baby out for a ride and you say to yourself this would make a perfect picture spot but I don't have a camera with me.

Of course those of us that do have camera with us all of the time do not have pretty C3 to show off.  Cry  I will someday.

Haven't gotten many yet.... keep them coming!

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY......

Your file size should be over 2MBs.  If your file size is lower than that, it will likely be rejected!

Dial-up discrimination!!!!

Just funnin...
I've got TONS, thousands of pics of both my Vettes, just none that would be acceptable for a calendar setting....
I keep tellin meself every year, I gotta get them both out in April/May, and get some pics of them with the Texas Bluebonnets in full bloom...every year, I wait too long...Cry

The rest of ya'll get those pics in!

4 days left and I don't have nearly enough submissions.  If I don't get about 10 more, the calendar may not happen for 2011.

If you have some images that meet the requirements above, submit your entry now.

Thanks!

I can't say for sure, but I thought I read somewhere that there would be no notification. Probably too time consuming. No matter for me. I buy one every year anyway. Though this was the 1st year I've submitted a pic, if I don't make it this year I'll keep trying Big smile. Good luck bro. aceinthehole2010-11-23 12:59:55

From the top of the thread:

If your submission IS selected, you may not be notified directly.  You will have to check the page that is created for ordering the calendar once it has been completed.

I am sorta new still so,

Is this something that might be available before Christmas or the beginning of the year?

I am not complaining.  Just looking at the ordering page and this year and last year are there but, not the new year.  I know the forum's work is done by a few and time is short everywhere.  Thank you.

[QUOTE=kwoody]I am sorta new still so,

Is this something that might be available before Christmas or the beginning of the year?

I am not complaining.  Just looking at the ordering page and this year and last year are there but, not the new year.  I know the forum's work is done by a few and time is short everywhere.  Thank you.

The photos for 2011 C3VR calendar have been selected and the calendar has mostly been created. I still have to put the finishing touches on it and put it up for sale.  I will try to do that this weekend, but as usual, I have a LOT going on outside of C3VR that is preventing me from finishing the C3VR calendar or even starting the one for C4VR and C6VR.

And now, to add to things, my grandfather is about to be in hospice care.

I will let everyone know was soon as it is available for purchase.

I'm sorry for the delay!

You know I knew better than asking the "stupid question".   I once chaired the academic exercise of debating the existence of such "stupid questions" and we overwhelmingly decided and proved that they do exist. I forgot all the important stuff from college.
Sorry about that.

It wasn't a stupid question.  No need to apologize. There are no stupid questions here on C3VR.
