just an update here. thanks for the words of encouragement but it
hasn't gotten too much better starting with the title of this thread
being misspelled.
doing the brake job was a pain as it used to be you just needed maybe
two different wrenches but now you need about 5-6. going into the
garage to get a socket, my shorts got caught on the stringray emblem on
my 75 and broke it in half. oh well another $50 out of my pocket.
got the parts from ecklers and installed this morning with booms of
thunder starting. figured i'd put a new ignition module in to be on the
safe side. got it yesterday when i got the brakes so i'd be prepared.
what no diselectric grease in it. off to the store to get some. get
back get it together and nope it still won't start.
bought a scanner that was supposed to be good on obd I-II plus f
d and c
r.
hook it up and says it can't communicate. email tech support and tell
them i hooked everything up and rechecked everything and still wouldn't
communicate and could they give me any help. emailed me back to make
sure i use the 12v power supply. thought they would understand my
statement i check everything. well i went on ebay and bought a snap on
with a lot of the cartridges and cables with it. at least i know this
one will work as that is what a friend of mine used initially to scan
it. will probably put the other one on ebay.
one good thing about today though, it stopped raining this afternoon and the steaks i cooked on the barbie were great.
