Just came upon this while reading CR...

Best and worst in new car owner satisfaction

Would you buy your car again?

With the results in from our biggest owner-satisfaction survey ever, more U.S. models made the Most Satisfying list, although Japanese models still dominate. Owner-satisfaction Ratings are determined by the percentage of those who answered "definitely yes" to the question asked by the Consumer Reports National Research Center: “Considering all factors (price, performance, reliability, comfort, enjoyment, etc.), would you get this car if you had to do it all over again?”

The bottom line. The Toyota Prius ranks as the most satisfying vehicle overall for the fourth straight year, with 92 percent of owners saying they’d get another one. Second place again goes to the Chevrolet Corvette. Smile

That is a huge gap between cars.... an economical Japanese hybrid and an all out American sports car. Both are considered best in their class.

Interesting... the Japanese are known for their econo boxes and Americans are known for high power sports cars. I think how the gap will be filled in, is who will control the market in cars.

Will the Asian manufactures (Honda, KIA, Toyota, etc...)  fill  the gap with hybrid and high fuel economy cars and corner the market or will the American take the lead with innovation and style???

My crystal ball is somewhat cloudy today.

that is really interesting, we own one of each, although the vette is an older one i would most certainly purchase another, and the prius is a great car, wife just loves it and I think it is a very functional car.
