I just recently joined the "Official" C5/C6 Vette Registry, seeing as how I now own a C5, and I'm a bit disappointed, so far.

Either I'm doing something wrong, or I don't know where to look, but those folks over there aren't that responsive. At C3VR, when someone asks a technical question - BOOM - you get 12 answers right now! At the C5/C6 Registry - not so much, if any.

Also, the site in general is harder to navigate and search. Here I can find specific technical info in a jiffy. Anyone else (those of you with C5/C6's) experience the same thing?

So far, I like C3VR better than the other Forums.  Some of the folks on the other Forum's are darn right MEAN. Evil%20Smile

I have a C5 too. Big%20smile  Sometimes I get on the C5 Forum, but this Forum beats it all to H E L L. Wink

Perhaps they are not as technically savvy as the C3 crowd. We kinda have to be able to work on ours to keep driving them.

I belong to Corvette Forum as well. I specifically spend a great deal of time in the C5 section. I have bought a ton of stuff from the members. I have also gotten good tech advice when asked and in research from them.It is a very active section of the Forum.

I attended Corvette Forum's Cruise In at Bowling Green this year and had a good time. They had quite a few items planned on their agenda and we all had fun. It was great to meet some of the members there and there were some other C3 Vette Registry members there as well.

I do go to the C3 section of Corvette Forum from time to time but I don't get the same feel there as I do here at our C3Vette Registry.

I consider the C3Vette Registry to be my Vette home.... Sorry Folks your stuck with me....

I belong to the C5 Forum and Digital Corvettes too. Digital Corvettes would be my 2nd choice for the C5 crowd. Mostly becase they do some local events in Indianapolis. They also have a pretty active For Sale section and a Babes section that is an added bonus.

but my home is still here at C3VR. Thumbs%20Up

I'm a member on Corvette Forum, Digital Corvettes, PNW Corvettes, Corvette Action Center, and nothing compares to this place, the C3VR is by far the best out there for a C3 owner Thumbs%20Up

I did just recently also join the Corvette Pace Car Registry, but its a little lonely over there, not very many members and no one but me posting it seems like Ermm

Here's some typical C-6 Owner questions

"What's your favorite type of wiper fliuid?"

"Does your dealer give you a loaner car?"

There couldn't be much else to talk about.........................

As for the other sites, you may get an answer in about a week or so.  I like it here, our cars have enough issues to keep the board active.

Issues? C3s have issues?  WhatyoutalkinaboutLouis?

If I post a comment or question and don't get an reply in 10 minutes, I feel you guys don't like me.Cry

I don't go to any other sites, so I can't compare.
But why would I want to go any where else?
I just love it here.

I go to the C3 Forum as well and there are some arrogant people there.  They seem to take delight in putting others down who have a different opinion...not wrong mind you...just different.

I've seen real flame wars there begin with simple discussions of who likes what wax best!  They get really insulted and insulting when you don't take their opinion as the word of God.

This place is mucho better...it's like everyone here is more of a family looking out for one another.

Hmmmm...there are "other" forums out there??? Whoda thunk it?
I also have membership in a couple of "other" places, such as CAC, C6VR, NCRS Tech Board, and the Chevy Forum. I found CAC to be little too stiff for my tastes, and the responses I got from my posts were less than encouraging.
I am also a member of a couple of transmission/trade forums, but they also suffer from the "My idea/info is better than yours" syndrome, at times, but...if I post a theory, or a request for help, I'll have 100 responses by the end of the day.

There just ain't no place like home(C3VR)...there's no place like home...there's no place like home... there's no place like home...

Big%20smileIf you have a C3 this is by far the best site! I am new to owning a C3 and the people on this site make you feel like family. The replies to forums are so quick and filled with info from people that care. I know I am at the right site with people that share the same love for the C3!Thumbs%20Up

I spend time on all the C3 Forums, I believe they all have something to offer from time to time. C3VR is by far the most pro-active, followed closely by CF. Luckily, there is an Arizona froum as well, not all C3, but still some local fun!

Sounds like I should check out the Corvette Forum, 'cause I'm getting nothing out of the C5 Registry so far. I see a total of only about 40 posts in the last three months!!! My WIFE talks more about C5s than these guys do!LOL

I too belong to some other corvette forums but I agree with Joel, There is no place like home! and C3VR is Home.  There is just a different attitude and maturity level here it seems.
