I am considering selling my totally new 71, 2 top, numbers,SB, air conditioned Mille Miglia red convert.  This is a show quality car that appears as original, exceptions are the steering wheel is a beautiful rosewood and the transmission in the car is a 700 R4 with the correct shift indicator showing the OD, the original (all new) numbers tranny goes with the car as does all the associated original stuff, drive shaft, brake light switch, etc. The car is loaded; Black leather, white top, black vinyl covered hardtop, PW, PS, PB, AC (all new conv to R134), AM-FM (new high tech stereo components, original case). The engine is the original block with an Edelbrock intake and a Holley 4B double pumper.  It also has a mild cam and roller rockers aside from that it is all original type parts.  The car underwent a four year frame off resto, it had been just setting for a number of years and was out in the weather.  The body had never been dinged other than the front valence had met a parking stop once too many times.  Everything in the car and chassis is either new or rebuilt...the car is new!  I even put the completed chassis in a car show and really got some attention. I've got 40K worth of high quality parts in it and want my money back, no real dickering room, I'll keep it before giving it away...it will last a long time without having to spend a dime on it.  Total mileage is 103K, about 600 since resto.  If interested photos available, email aritzer@aol.com

I hope you can get what you want for it, but it might be a little unrealistic. BB C3's currently can command that kind of money, but not small blocks (except maybe a select few?). One the downsides of this hobby is that, for many cars, you can't get back all of the money you put into them. I'm not trying to rain on your parade, just trying to offer what I've seen. In any case, why don't you post a couple pictures here - I'm sure she's a beauty and I know everyone would like to see! Big%20smile

I'm sorry to say I have to agree with John here. You're in the same boat I'm  in. People don't seem to believe that you can put over $40k in parts for a C3 corvette but I can prove it. Including the original purchase price of my car in 1982, I have receipts for close to $50k. What could I get out of it? 25, maybe $30k max. Cry
