You can now register online for C3 Fest at Mid America Motorworks, May 19-21, 2011!!

This is where the 9th Annual C3VR Member Gathering will be taking place.

IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND THE GATHERING - YOU MUST REGISTER FOR C3 FEST IN ADVANCE!

The link below will take you to the registration page where you will find a summary of the event. Exact times and details of seminars have yet to be determined but will be posted as soon as it is finalized. People have been itching to get registered, so Mid America Motorworks thought they have enough info now to get the registration up and running!

Note that there are two Thursday Afternoon items listed. This an EITHER/OR thing. Do not select both!

Please SHARE this link with anyone and everyone that you think may be interested in attending C3 Fest. Email it, post it on forums, twitter, facebook, wherever! We want to help Mid America Motorworks put on the biggest and best C3-themed event ever! Attendees do NOT have to be a C3VR member to attend C3 Fest!

Helmets are required for Auto-Cross. They will have some available if you do not have your own.

UPDATE 2/9/11: Fireside Chat with Mike Yager has been filled to capacity. If you want to be put on the waiting list, after you complete your registration, contact Deb Beasley via email with your name, address & phone number and she'll add you to the waiting list. I registered at 1430 hrs ! their new site did not work as it only shows me main catagories and no actual item. and would not let me check out or get my $5.00 off certificate on my next order.

I see some events are limited numbers, but is there a time limit on registering? I don't want to register until I know if my Vette will be running or not in time. And what if I register and then can't make it, is there a refund policy? Thanks Adam Thumbs Up

I'm not sure what time the auto cross starts so I did not take it, it also said not available at this time. If we are delayed for Thursday arrival I did not want to take the pass and not use it.

I've never been in an auto-cross, but it says "low-speed" so I wouldn't think you'd need a helmet.

We are registered for the event and the Yeager fireside chat/ lunch. I tried to register for the autocross but at checkout it said temporary shortage. Not sure what that means.

Technically, no one said we would not have to pay either. But really, $30 for all that is included is a steal, in my opinion. Can't really blame them for trying recoup some of their costs, anyway.

Mark I seen quite a few from you but there are at least 3 other topics goin on about things for the gathering.

Lunch provided is worth something so I'm ok with the price also plus I'm sure there will be a nice goodie bag. I did think the shirt might have been in the registration fee as it will have only their name on it. Ouch

I think $30 for 3 days of activities including a couple meals, one of which is a banquet dinner, isn't so bad. That's $10/day. A dinner on your own would cost more than $10/person.

Anyway, let's not forget - we're gonna have a great time with some GREAT people! Isn't that what is most important? Hug

From the folks at Mid America Motorworks:

"we are going to treat the registration like Funfest. Meaning that it will be non-refundable since the $30 covers food and other activities that are not limited. So, even if this gentlemen wanted to come without his Vette to participate in everything but the autocross, he could. That would then just open a spot on the autocross at event time."

Not to get off-topic, but just a few words about this then lets move on....

Stan,

This is tricky. Tone and inflection is almost impossible to communicate via written word. Smilies help, but about the best thing you can do is say "(Just messing with ya!)" or something that makes it pretty obvious you're just playing around.

Folks here are very friendly and like to joke around A LOT! Once you get to know the "regulars" or "long-timers" you'll find what I'm saying is true. It is very rare that anyone is intentionally being rude or mean.

Don't let Dan sour you on C3VR or the folks here. They are quite a fun bunch. If you make it to the gathering, you'll find out first hand. Oh, and the other thing about the gathering.... newcomers to C3VR and/or Gatherings (I'm told) never feel left out or mistreated. They leave the gathering feeling like they've known everyone forever. So come and join us!

Not to get off-topic, but just a few words about this then lets move on....

This is tricky. Tone and inflection is almost impossible to communicate via written word. Smilies help, but about the best thing you can do is say "(Just messing with ya!)" or something that makes it pretty obvious you're just playing around.

Folks here are very friendly and like to joke around A LOT! Once you get to know the "regulars" or "long-timers" you'll find what I'm saying is true. It is very rare that anyone is intentionally being rude or mean.

Don't let Dan sour you on C3VR or the folks here. They are quite a fun bunch. If you make it to the gathering, you'll find out first hand. Oh, and the other thing about the gathering.... newcomers to C3VR and/or Gatherings (I'm told) never feel left out or mistreated. They leave the gathering feeling like they've known everyone forever.
