As per our Gathering Rotation schedule, we're due to have our 2013 Gathering in the West Region.  (Click here for a map of regions and past gathering locations.)

The time frame for the gathering may vary from May-October, depending on location chosen and various other factors.

PLEASE ONLY VOTE IF YOU WOULD GO! (You're not committing to anything here, but if you know you'd never go no matter what, then don't vote. If all things wind up perfect for you... you can get the time off, the dates work, you can afford it, etc, and you would go for the location you vote for, then vote!)

Any questions before you vote? Please ask!

You can only vote once. Make it count! |cheers|

VOTING ENDED 9/3/2012!

|UPDATED|9/4/2012 2:49:22 PM (AZT)|/UPDATED|

Wow! It's really a toss up at this point.  With 24 votes, there is still no clear leader!  Every vote counts!!

Ok, I voted.  It was for my second choice, but my first is almost out of the running.  I voted for Ross Perot once.  Not gonna waste another vote for a horse that's clearly not going to win!

Hey Wally,
I took my motorhome over the 'million dollar highway'.  A fantastic drive.  We had reservations for the "Durango-Silverton narrow guage railway" but backed out (DUMB HUH).  That is the last narrow guage railroad in the country.  We also drove that motor home into Mesa Verde National Park too.  The cliff dwellings were truly a spiritual place.

David, I bet you really had a blast taking your motorhome over the million dollar highway.  I've traveled it too, all the way from Montrose to Durango, but not in an RV.  Sure was fun and exciting.  Lotsa pucker power with the big semis, RVs, etc bearing down on a 2-lane highway with no guard rails thru the mountains.  We took the railroad up to Silverton and it was beautiful country.  I'd really like to make that trip again.  Thumbs Up

Larry

Marshall:

I voted for Ross Perot once.  Did not work out real well in the end game.  It was a good lesson on how not to use your vote.  I'm thinking you are of the same mind on that one.

I think that a one week run off would be a good idea with three of the top vote so close.

Adam:

How about that?  Give us Ross Perot voters a second chance to get it correct.

I think a 2nd vote would only happen if there is a tie (2-way, 3-way, etc).

And after I put in my comment on a run off vote, I thought about it more and agree.  If there is a single winner (even by one vote), that destination will have won fair and square.

Maybe in the future, the rules could state that any choice has to win by more than X (1, 2) votes, but for this vote, it was simply that the winner wins, and I think that's fair.

One vote for me is the right way.  One winning place.

I don't think I need to remind any of us about the mess in Florida.  Keep counting and recounting
until you get the outcome you want.  The Supreams put an end to that.

I've looked at my route there and it looks possible.  A day and a half on the road should be ok
for Baby, my wife and me.  Here to LA is a one day - all day trip and go to bed. I have family
in LA so, we will stop there to overnight.  New belts and a change of oil and away we go.

Sounds like a plan.  Good work!

Keith

Hey I can't see the poll results, what locations are in the leading? I'm still hoping for Moab, UT. I think I will be attending in our 45' RV, if anything we can use the RV for meetings LOL. Maybe I'll pull the Vette out of the barn and trailer it to the gathering. Edit: Okay I figured it out, clicking on any location brings up the poll. Apparently y'all have never been to Utah. I've lived in about 15 different states and Utah was my favorite. Moab, UT is a must see part of this country. If your coming west you should make your route through Utah, there's a reason why Utah has 5 National Parks.

CORRECTION:  If you have not placed a vote yet clicking on any of the locations will place your vote for that location.

If you have voted already clicking on any of the locations will show you the tally so far.

On the results page (See the current results of this survey ) the location you voted for will be in BOLD on the list.
