We'll give you dirty looks and make fun of you (in fun), but we'll just be glad you're there.

Hope all is well for you down in MS.  Been watching the news about all of the tornadoes down there

My 78 is a 5 speed and the 90 is an auto (either car would make the trip. over the last year i have developed parkinsons and with the cruise control on the 90 I would get some leg and foot relief on the interstate. The reason I put Wednesday as my decision date is at that point I will start the final prep for the trip. I really hate to bring a C4 to a C3 gathering and the C3 also has more room in the rear.

You mean the C4 has more room in the rear! As long as you can make it, it's OK by me! I'd prefer the C3, but I'd also like to see you comfortable on the trip. It's up to you!

I think your thrill will be greater being in such a large group of C3, but that is just part of the fun. Being with a bunch of great people counts also.

Your choice, but would love to see that car.

Howard - while it would be nice to see your C3 if the C4 makes it an easier trip for you by all means drive it.  I've taken "The Beast" to a couple of gatherings and not been harassed too badly...!!!  Wink

Well i took the 78 out today and gave it a good shakedown cruise-came home and changed the speedo cable(busted the cable at Teladaga last year -when i repaired it it had a jitter so i had to change the cable housing today-works fine now. noticed a sligt pull to the right when breaking -checked it out on the rack -found a small leak where the front left flexable line connects tp the caliper-will replace monday night - air cond is working great new belts will change oil and tune -up next Friday (LOOKS LIKE I'M DRIVEN THE 78) by the way after changung the tranny to a 5 speed and raising the rear-end gear ratio the 78 gets a consistent 23 mpg on the road.

I know I am late to the party and you have already made your decision, but you should have known that you could have driven anything to a C3 Gathering, or any other C3VR event and no one would think any different of you.

It is always about the people and friends you meet at these events that matters, not what you drive.

You could even sell your Vette(s), fly to the event, rent a Ford, and we would still welcome you with open arms. WOW, for some strange reason, that sounds familar.LOL

So to one and all, drive, fly, or come by train. IT DON'T MATTER TO US.

Just be there or be square.

What the heck does that mean?

Are we there yet?

I agree with almost everything you state Dwight except RENT A FORD. Just can't believe you said that.  Anyway haven't decided which vehicle to drive yet (have both ready) started packing on Mothers day guess the car to drive wont be chosen till 0400 hrs 16 May. I plan on stopping at BG for the night and touring the assembly plant on the 17 and leaving for the gathering on the 18 should be there in the early afternoon.
