To start with, if I had a magic wand, I would have used it to transport ALL of the C3VR members to a gathering.  I am EXTREMELY lucky to have live so close to this gathering.  Because of locations, I doubt that my GPS unit and I will make many of these gatherings (except for the Corvette Museums' 20th anniversary in 2014) which makes me sad.

We met some GREAT people this past week end.  I will be honest with one thing.  Before we got there, my wife was slightly concerned.  She thought that this was going to be one big party......OH HOW VERY WRONG SHE WAS!  After the first day with this group, she looked at me and said "these are just very common people like us"...well YES!!!!  Common, good hearted, friendly, (most of of still working) ordinary, Corvette loving people!  Right away, Marshall and I had a little good-natured bantering between us.  My wife said "you are so mean to that guy".  No, it was good natured bantering.  Thank you Marshall!

Clint did an absolute outstanding job in organizing this event.  On Saturday we had to hurry back from Savannah (from Lady & sons) to make it in time to go to another restaurant.  On Saturday night Adam asked me what size T-shirt I wore.....I told him before the weekend started, a 2X...but by the time Saturday night rolled around I was not sure what sizeShocked.

One last thought...I am glad that Mr. Ebo posted what he did about the history of his "little toy".  That was a good story.  Mr. Ebo had an impact on the entire group and a lot of us had never even met him!  We could tell that even though it was all in fun, that there was a underlying deep respect too.  Something like that is not easy to find these days.  So I tip my hat to Mr. Ebo and I look forward to the day when I can meet him and his wife.  I also look forweard t othe day when I can meet more of the C3VR members.  This gathering did cement for me the bond that we share that so few people have these days.

So to Adam, a big thank you for starting C3VR, to Clint (way far out man), to ALL the C3VR members who add their advice and comments...THANK YOU!!!!!!!!ClapClapClap
Hug

May all of you walk in peace

This was also our first time to meet the group in person. Jan and I had a great time and look forward to future events. The camaraderie amongst the members is special.
Thanks again to Clint for his efforts planning our time in Charleston and Savannah and serving as local host.

Mark, it was great to meet you and Jan, but I have to agree with David.  I like the car in your signature much better than that thing you drove last week (Wink).

We get over to the Cincy area often.  I'll try to drop you a line when we're over that way.  There is an event in Springboro, OH (Dayton area) that I go to every October.  I'll be sure to let you know about it ahead of time

And of course, David, it was great to meet you and Brenda as well.  Glad you could make it!

David, I sure hope you can find a way to make another gathering. You certainly added to the "fun factor"!.

I know for sure that Brenda and I will see any of you who make the 20th anniversary celebration for the Corvette Museum.  Even though we will probably stay in BG with our Caravan, I hope that the C3VR members will plan a day trip and we WILL meet you.  By then I will have a re-built engine and the A/C will actually work (for the firstime since I had this car 16 years).

Marshall, your AIR pump probably froze when you zooooomed (I was pedeling as fast as I could) past me on the way home.  but glad you had a cheap fix to at least make it home.

Peace out
