I left Jeff H. after breakfast about 7:30 a.m., made one stop for gas and got home at noon. Drove through a little rain on US15, but for the most part, it was uneventful and a pleasant drive.

I hope everyone had a good time and arrived home safely.

Here's to another great C3VR event.Thumbs Up

Arrived home safe and sound at 1pm. Car ran great....even thou it only had front brakes, RED BRAKE light glowed all the way home.

It was another one for the record books LOL speaking of "Record Books" Marshal your ears had to be ringing.
  • Wow thats a big piece of meat
  • Your husban has a big one also
  • Thats a pretty small box for that big piece of meat, can you stuff it in there?
  • I figured if I had one girl going one way and another going the other way it would be better so I got two girls
  • That looks bigger than 10 inches

Next time we will hand out Marshal Books to capture quotes when your not there bud!

It was also nice to meet some more new faces, we had a Huge group this year!
What I don't understand is when I say "Hi I'm ebo" they say "I know" Confused

Returned home late Sunday afternoon after a hectic 2 days trying to resolve a lost cylinder issue encountered Friday night. Found 2 burned plug wires from headers ans assumed that was my problem. Did a gang Big smile replacement of wires late Sat.  at the show which did not solve the problem. Bought a new set of plugs and replaced which also did not solve the lost cylinder. Only thing left I could do relatively easily in the motel parking lot was pop valve covers off and this is what I found.

Thanks to a very generous donation of rocker arms by our great C3VR members Clap we were able to get her running smoothly on all 8 cylinders again and on got on the way home yesterday afternoon. Thanks to all!!Thumbs UpThumbs Up

Ms. Funbucket and I got back around 4 last night after a quick trip up to Chocolate world at Hershey. I'm really sorry to all that we didn't get to spend more time together with the group. As it was my first time to carlisle I was waaaaay overcome by all there was to see.....speaking of which did anyone see the Kerbeck Chevy girls??? They all knew who Ebo was......

I was looking for a T-top pad for my car and had no luck....alot of earlier model ones available....well theres always next year or glass tops whichever comes first.

Rose and I really enjoyed our dinner at the Rustic Tavern and thanks to everyone for making her feel right at home.

Oh and BTW when I got back to work today that hood liner material was on my desk. Must have come on FridayErmm. It looks pretty cool and he sent me 3 decals too. I will keep it if anyone wants to see it.

I left Saturday around 12:30 and got back home around 3. Light traffic all the way.
I found out that Rt 78 in NJ was closed later in the afternoon though.
I had a fantastic time at the Tavern and talking with you all in the Fun Field. Thanks for the friendships made and renewed.
I bought a couple of items and filled up my truck. EBO made me do it. It was the right choice.

Wow, lost of issues for our cars this year on the way to or from. I also ran into issues Saturday afternoon on the trip home. I lost 2 cylinders due to header burns on the wires. Must have been someone at Carlisle reaching in and placing the wires against the headers! So Saturday night off to the auto parts store where I bought new wires and shorty plugs for both cars. Yes Both cars since Thursday night the wires on the 72 burnt on its test drive. (how did that guy that was moving wires in carlisle get to my 72 on thursday!) Anyway all is replaced and I now have some clearance witht the shorty plugs. Good to see everyone there.
And how about a special congrats to Mark and Shirley for their winning car! Congrats! Very nice automobile!

No, Rick, A lot of us are planning on Corvettes for Chip this year (it's always my end of show season show!). I only mentioned OC, MD because it was brought up. I know it's off topic, BUT did you get your top issues straightened out? Hope your work issues get taken care of sooner rather then later!

We left Carlisle at 7:00 AM Sunday morning and rolled into Bowling Green at 7:30 PM Sunday evening.  The "COOL CE" ran flawlessly all weekend.  We had a fantastic time at the show.   Sorry we couldn't make the dinner Friday night.

I did get to meet some of the C3VR crew over the weekend though.  Dave (Dwright), Barry (Jaws79) and Dave (DaveM), it was good talking with you guys.  You have great looking Vettes.  I hope to meet more of our members in person in the future.

I'm already looking forward to next years Corvettes at Carlisle!

Just wanted to say seeing everyone at Carlisle was great and the Dinner was a fun occasion too! Great Delmonico...
I've got the VANITY LIST so when I get a chance, I'll post it here for grins and giggles. My car ran fine to and from the event, but I did hit some heavy rain on the way home Sunday, for a short spell.
