Clap  FM radio! Whats that?   In between the mountain tops you can get "Grandma got ran over by the reindeer" if you hold your mouth right with the window rolled down!   LOL

Mark poor reception could be from a poor antenna connection at the base itself..it may have some corrosion on the threads of the mast..or the ground wire to the base has high resistance..
Or you are just to far away from a radio station it just aint there..try to hook some small gauge wire to your gold fillings in your teeth and sing old McDonald..I have heard that this works on occasion..

Thats why I bought the Ipod adaptor for my Custom Autosound Radio for the gathering in 2011. I'll install it after I get it back from the paint shop (or at some point over the winter). I hope it sounds OK.

Joel,
thanks.
that's what i thought , but was unsure.
If it needed to be glassed on or bonded on, i wanted to be sure i got to it before the body went back on the frame.
hopefully that will be coming up soon now that the engine is done and i bought an M-20 muncie.
Engine goes to the dyno next week. M-20 is being put together and should be ready this weekend.
Thanks again.

I have a CUSTOM AUTO SOUND system, but do not get much.  GOLD fillings! Who has GOLD? Besides, I only have ONE tooth an its filled with keaster 50/50. If you know what that is, you know its cheaper n GOLD.

I will try the ground plain contacts and fittings with a new ground strap in the spring after the storage period is over.
The antennae itself holds in on. The ground plane fit up to the body, and the antennae goes up thru it, and then the nut on the top side holds it all together. There is also a thin strip of metal screwed to the ground plane that goes down to attach to the frame, as a ground. hth
I bonded mine to the quarter paner with Fiberall while it was in place. Worked out awesone.
