I am looking for someone who is a corvette body expert within a couple hours drive of hot springs, AR that can take a look at my car and help me figure out how to fix some body alignment issues I have.

do you know anyone that fits that description?

The problem is one wheel/tire sets farther back than the other. Ben has another thread about the resurrection of his '69 he's been doing. You can read that thread HERE.

A shortcut to the actual pics of the issue can be found HERE.
Scroll down to the last two pics on that page, and you can see the difference in the wheel/tire in the wheelwell.

From what I remember, all of the frame measurements are right, so it's prolly not a frame issue per-se. I'm thinking Ben might be thinking it's a body issue, since he did replace the front clip.
Thumbs Up

I needed some help in that area and what I did is call around to some body shops and asked to speak to the owner.

The question I asked was have you ever owned an C3 corvette?  I was lucky enough to find a guy in my small town (yes it is next to San Diego which is hardly small but this guy's shop is in Lemon Grove, 1 mile from my house).

I went down and talked to him.  He did not own a C3 at the time but really talked about them.

Just a suggestion if you do not find referrals that are close to you.

I decided not to have the work done.  One side of my bird cage measured from the top of the drivers window to where the glass tops connect is narrower on one side.  Just enough that there is nothing I can do to the glass not have the window hit if it is all the way up.

He did say he could fix it but it would most likely cost me a windshield.

there are some contradictory signs.

the gas tank is offset 1/2" to one side in the filler hole.

i was having issues getting the nose lined up but the frame extensions fixed that.

the start of the wheel well relative to the doors is equal on both sides all the way up the side.

I am still dead in the water.  I am wiilling to take it a couple of hours away to have someone look at it if anyone knows someone within say 150 miles.

body work is really not my forte.

has anyone tried these upper control arms.

they seem to be slotted for the bracket bolts.  this would let me slide the wheel forward appx 3/4" in theory

Seen them, and mentioned them earlier, but I don't know how far you would be able to slide the a-arm without really screwing up the caster adjustments. I wish I know someone that could help, but I'm not having any luck finding help, either. Ouch

Just for grins, I gotta ask....are the front tires both the same size? LOL

yes
they are the same size...

but the one on the right was newer...  unfortunately..  putting in the tire from the rear (with same wear level) actually makes the gap worse.
