Hello,

I bought a hose kit for all the vacuum lines to headlights and wipers.  All went well till I tried replacing the hoses leading from the front vacuum actuator to the vacuum canisters by the headlight assemblies.  These hoses are smaller in diameter than what came in my kit and two other kits I looked at.

There are medium and large diameter hoses listed in the kits, but in reality, all the hoses are large diameter and simply fall off the nipples they are supposed to slide tightly on.

Automotive supply stores have two similar diameter vacuum hoses.  The larger matches the large diameter hoses in the kits.  The next smaller sixe is to small to fit over the nipples on actuator and canisters by headlights.

Am I the only one that is having this issue? Any help in finding the correct size medium red and green hoses need would be of great help!

Thanks,
Mike

If you got the kit from a Corvette vendor, I'd talk w/ them about it.  Most of them will work w/ you to make it right.

Ditto that, I've put on about a dozen of the vac hose kits and never had a diameter issue up by the headlight cans. If I remember right there is a subtle difference in the repop vacuum canisters vs. original. The right angle bend is a little tighter to the main body of the canister and I think the diameter is a tad smaller. I've got a couple original and repops in my parts stash. I'll dig them out and confirm.
