I primed my '70 LT1 over a year ago, and have very slowly done the necessary bodywork. For the last few months, I would spend a half hour every few days. But it was finally ready. This morning my son-in-law Jason, and old friend Pete showed. They are both very skilled body men and painters. I was able to help (that means sit on a stool and watch) as they arranged everything and prepped the surfaces. By early afternoon, everything was painted. They moved everything into one stall so my wife can park her Corvette inside, cleaned everything up, and left one very grateful person. I was able to watch the beginning of the first coat, and the end of the last.
Since I go in the hospital for my new heart pump on Monday, it will have plenty of time to dry before buffing and assembly. My pictures turned out terrible because of the fog of paint in the air, but here is one after the air cleared.
