Well with my extended vacation,I figured I put on some of the parts I have .Shocks went fine.But....But the door handle well! I got everything apart except I cant figure out how to separate the rod that connects the mechanism to the handle. What am I missing or did I forget?                  Rick

look at item 28 that is where it unclips the rod will go up attached to the handale

The CLIP is a devil to unclip and replace.  There is a small latch on the clip that holds it in place.  You will need to lift the latch part on the clip itself with a screwdriver or similar tool to get it to move.

The clip on part #28 is the one to look for...

They definitely are a pain I had trouble getting my door locks to work correctly until I found that the previous owner when he had painted it swapped the link arms from the handle to that clip I have pictures that show the rt and left rods side by side glad to hear you got it fixed all our cars are group efforts

Ya, it is a pain in the ole wazoo but then the more we do the better we become!!!
