I keep up with Corvette pricing/market values pretty well. A nicely equipped '73,
Big Block, 4speed, convertible would bring around $21-$23,000 in today's market. Small blocks just don't bring the same amount without some extra options, like the Z07 suspension, A/C, power brakes/windows, etc.
Not saying it's not a nice car, since I've never seen it...it may be a really sweet car....it's just priced way over "market" value, even if it had not been recolored. Don't know where the seller's son is going on the net to get a price like that, but he's being misled/misinformed, imho.
If it was me(and it ain't), and the car was in great condition(other than the color change),
with documentation, I think I would offer $20,000, and see what happens....
Pics would certainly be nice!
