PPPPLLLLLEEEEAAAASSSEEE don't listen to Terry.... He is C-R-A-Z-Y...!!!!!

As for the color... I would leave it OEM because of the few produced. But, if somehow my mind was changed then I would go to that years white. Mainly because the white / blue combination looks very nice and is also low numbers produced production combo.

Good Luck with a Tuff Decision...                          Tux...

You've got to do what you feel.  Like someone told me, my '80 is not "collectible" so I may as well make it the way I want it.  This year I beefed-up the engine, somewhat, and just got the car back from the body shop after being completely stripped and repainted.  The original color was the 1980 Classic White but I had it repainted in the 1958 Snowcrest White.  The difference is subtle but the Snowcrest White seems to me to be a little "deeper".  The best way I can describe it is that it looks like you could scoop the color off the car like ice cream.  I love it.  But, hey, that's just me.  Good luck.

[QUOTE=DaveM]My car was blue originally with dark blue interior, When I got it it was black with the dark blue interior and it did not look good at all. I changed it to the charcoal. Just in case you're thinking black. Just my 2 cents, but I like the light blue you have now.
See you Friday,

Dave, I agree, Black with blue does not appeal to me, neither does any form of red (sorry Terry), even though I love candy apple red. At least I have some time. Sometimes these decicions are tough! I do appreciate the suggestions, guys! Keep 'em coming!

I think the original color woith some pearl would be nice. Silver might also work but since the original was a rare color, I would stick wth it.

I had a 65 coupe back in the 70's that I had repainted baby blue with a black interior and it looked great. Drew alot of interest at car shows. Wish I still had it. Cry It was a few shades deeper in color than what you have. Daytona blue accents on hood and rear window.

Mine is white with the dark blue interior. It works for me (and anyone else who happens to be at least 10 feet away Big smile) Another nice color with that interior is the '82 "Silver Blue Metallic". If I could repaint mine today, that's what I'd go with.

Let us know what you go with.

Well, the past two nights I've been detailing the Vette along with my friend Hank (who will also have his 80 Vette there) and guess what? There is not a single panel on the car that the paint is not cracked! I have never seen that much of a change from one year to the next! Any doubts about anything other than a complete paint job are gone. I also have to start to locate a shop within a reasonable distance that knows how to paint Vettes and can give me the kind of paint job I want (perfect). By the way, the original paint (with some pearl) is leading so far. But keep those suggestions coming! All of you at Carlisle will see the "Crackmeister"!  Rolling On The Floor Laughing
