My still-in-USA 68 Vette has become a "radio delete" model.  That is, it has neither radio nor radio antenna, though the holes are there for both.  I'll get a "radio delete" panel for the radio itself.

1968E (2nd month production) convertible first registered California 1967 and a retired SCCA race car.  It is still race prepped and built up as a '69 ZR1 (announced '69 but not built until '70); i.e., the L88 car with LT1 motor.

ALL of the cars had the hole for the antennae. Workers at the assy plant would glass over the hole on the radio delete cars before paint.
The best way is to glass it in from underneath first, then on the top side. No matter how you do it, it will eventually show thru over time. A chrome plug would work too, and still give you the option to install a radio later, if ya wanted to.

Thanks for both replies.  As the car's been resprayed it's too late for the correct-glassing-up-the-hole option.  I'll likely go for the plug option, rather than the antenna option, so that the delete setup has a more intentional look.  Mine's well-and-truly a hot-rod, as the pics will show if I ever figure out how to post pics (hint, hint).  Cheers!
