Here is some useful info on painting your car.

Very good article on painting a corvette.  http://www.mathcs.duq.edu/~vergot/corvette/index.html

Good graphics site  http://www.autorestylersinc.com/index.php?osCsid=064a2f2e1dcead95887d0f53ae99d85a

Pin striping supply  http://www.stewartdesign.biz/products/pinstripes.html

Adding a pearl additive to paint  http://www.paintwithpearl.com/

Another pin striping supplier  http://www.stripeman.com/pin-stripes.htm

and finally another automotive paint supplier  http://www.tcpglobal.com/

Hope this can help you. Food for thought.  Indy99

You should have already ordered that paint by now from that company. When it gets there hurry up and get the car painted. If you can find the paint at the right price you will be much happier painting the whole car. I can't imagine you blending into the doors will look right. I don't read books but enjoy reading this forum. It is like a mystery novel I can't wait to hear the end of the story. Is there any hotels near you Dave. I want to be there when you paint the car. Get the story first hand. I don't want to wait to read the forum of the story after the paint job. I am serious. Waiting for ebo to give you some more advice.

Rodney, I will probably get the paint from someone local even at a higher price.  I will undoubtedly recoup the extra money spent getting their advice.  Besides the more I got down actual paint quality and comparing 1 to 1 the prices aren't that far off, maybe $25.

I'm not blending.  I'm stopping right at the doors.  Both doors need repair and the passenger door I might scrap altogether.  The passenger rear quarter must have taken a hit while it was being held captive by its maniacal previous owner.  I'm going to shave the locks and the antenna as well.  This won't happen until after Carlisle and the Caravan.

While laying in bed last night I just said to myself "F#$K IT!  I'm going out and buying some spray cans!"  I woke up this morning, late, with a clearer head.

You're always welcome to stay here, as long as you keep your laughs and giggles to yourself.

Honest to god picture this: I pull into the NCRS judging area at night!  I can see them wetting themselves from laughing so hard!  If I could plistidip it, I would...maybe.

Don't laugh I was at a show last month and there was a 2007 Vette that looked like it was all under coated . I think it was plasti dip. The guy did the body and even the rims. Gotta tell yea it sure did get al lot of attention and pictures taken of it. There you go Dave probably can even break out that thong I was reading about and pose for a few pictures. I am sure Ebo would like a 10x12 or full size to Jung up at the ranch for next year.
