So i am doing the fiberglass on my 75 vette and i can see 4 holes across the rear deck just before the rear bumper cover where a spoiler used to be on the car.  the guy i bought it from told me that they made these spoilers out of rubber like the bumpers and that it curled up and someone just ripped it off and tossed it.  i've been looking and not only can i not find any pictures of a 75 vette with a stock spoiler but i can seem to find any with a spoiler that looks remotely close to what this one was like!

I'm not going to be filling the holes till mid next week, and i'm ordering my new bumpers and front spoiler on monday, looking for any info anyone might have on this!

Thanks!!

The factory bolt on spoilers first showed up on the '78 Pace Cars and as an option on the '79's. They were made of urethane and do look a little wavy.

I saw that picture of of a rear spoiler and that is not what mine would look like.  These are the holes i'm talking about;

you can see the holes going straight across the back, it looks like it might have been a pretty cool spoiler, but if i can't find anything like it i'll just cover the holes!

Thanks,

Now I have no idea.  I do know that some people have put an 82 tail on their 77 that gives you a little flare at the end.

USS Pampanito (SS-383) When were you in San Franciso?  I served on the USS Bay AGSS318 so I'm always interested in Submariners or people are interested in the old diesel boats.

HA!  very observant!! i was in SA about a month ago on vacation with my dad, we saw the sub sitting there from another dock and worked our way over to it to take the tour.  It was and AMAZINGLY cool sub, and fascinating to see that they could design, build, and run something so complex back then without computers!

I spent sometime on one about 1 year older than that one.  Almost killed me actually (flooded an engine room) another story.  Had a great time while I was in the navy.  You should see how they have to work everything together to make it operate.  All manual or electro-hydraulics.

The US went to the moon with a space craft designed using a slide rule.  Half of the guys on this form may not know what a slide rule is.

Now we are high-jacking a thread and I will be chastised for it.Beer

So let me finish off saying my submarine had spoilers on it also.Tongue
