My local rebuilder has a frame (birdcage) for a '72 vette.
He "believes" the bird cage is the same (particularly the windshield frame) for a T-top and a convertible. The only difference being the center structure that is welded to the windshield frame for the T-top.
If that's true, he can save me a bucket load of money when he eliminates the rust. (That is if the rust is so bad that it requires replacing part of or all of the frame. Please stay tuned.)
Knowing GM I tend to think he's correct.
Does anyone know for sure if that's the case? Or is this a case of wishful thinking?
