My wife was trying to clean the interior of the Vette and got all frustrated. Since the car was used as a daily driver for a couple of years and my uncle worked in a factory, the interior got real dirty. She has tried some 409, Orange Glow, soft scrub and a couple of other brands to try and get it clean. She worked sveral hours on it and only put a small dent in it.

Is there anything out there that will help clean the interior without hurting it?

Light colored interior pieces are really hard to clean. Try painting them all black!!!

If you have leather seat covers, try some saddle soap first. It can work miracles. I use Zymol on my seats. It's a little work, but the results are good.(I have a black int., tho)
For the vinyl trim/door panels/dash, you might try some Simple Green, but make sure you dilute it. Make sure to read the directions, and see that it is safe for vinyl.
My Mercedes, and the Cad. both have tan interiors. The Mercedes will clean up well with just soapy water on a towel. The Cad. requires a little more elbow grease, especially on the dash top. The sun has a tendency to bake on the dirt, and it also will damage the vinyl over time. You may not be able to get the top of the dash-pad 100% clean. Look into getting a dash cover. They're like a piece of carpet, cut to fit your dash. They look good, and cover a damaged dash!!
Hopefully, there will be some others chime in on this subject with some better advice!

Go to an industral janatorial supply store and get a product called SF-77.   This stuff is wicked.  You must dilute it, for some applications as much as 50 to 1.  At 5 to one it will clean ANYTHING, but can be harsh on the surface.   At that blend it will start to emulsify your skin after a period of time.  Diluted more is far better for most applications, and won't hurt anything.  Put it in a spray bottle grab a clean rag, and get busy.

I have used SF-77 to clean really nasty interiors, both cloth and leather, as well as plastics.   Keep in mind some of the guys in a shop are not as carefull as they should be in all cases.   And the customers want it clean when they get it back.

I get in one gallon bottles, so it last a long time.   Actually, I'm about due for some more.  I used to get it from a friend who used it in cleaning nursing homes.
