My wife was trying to clean the interior of the Vette and got all frustrated. Since the car was used as a daily driver for a couple of years and my uncle worked in a factory, the interior got real dirty. She has tried some 409, Orange Glow, soft scrub and a couple of other brands to try and get it clean. She worked sveral hours on it and only put a small dent in it.
Is there anything out there that will help clean the interior without hurting it?

Go to an industral janatorial supply store and get a product called SF-77. This stuff is wicked. You must dilute it, for some applications as much as 50 to 1. At 5 to one it will clean ANYTHING, but can be harsh on the surface. At that blend it will start to emulsify your skin after a period of time. Diluted more is far better for most applications, and won't hurt anything. Put it in a spray bottle grab a clean rag, and get busy.
I have used SF-77 to clean really nasty interiors, both cloth and leather, as well as plastics. Keep in mind some of the guys in a shop are not as carefull as they should be in all cases. And the customers want it clean when they get it back.
I get in one gallon bottles, so it last a long time. Actually, I'm about due for some more. I used to get it from a friend who used it in cleaning nursing homes.
