Hey all, my POR-15 came today, I have been prepping the frame and still have some wire wheeling yet to do. Anyone have any tips and tricks to laying this stuff down? I went all out and got the marine clean, metal ready, 2 qts of black, 2qts semi gloss and 1 pint of chasis black top coat for the visible areas. I will brush on the majority and do a little spraying for the nooks and crannies.

I should note that my body is off the frame has been stripped down to a roller. Once the majority of the frame is painted I will tear down the suspension and do those seperatly. I would love to hear some input on this. Thanks to everyone here!!!

I'm tracking on that! I even got a full face 3M respirator for spraying the stuff. I kind of regret going this route especially since I found out how inexpensive powder coating is. I wanted to paint as I was trying to avoid pulling of the suspension, change of plans though since it all needs some TLC. Yeehaw, there goes the budget!

budget??? did you say budget?Rolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20Laughing there is no such thing as a budget when you own a corvette. i should know i own two. just when you think everything is done, something else comes along and as we all love these cars, we have to get what it needs.

it's all worth it in the end though. good luck with your projectThumbs%20Up.

I brushed mine all the way. It self levels and looks great. If you spray, the air can turn pretty darn toxic. Always wear gloves and long sleeves. Your pants might be considered throw aways too depending on how sloppy things get.
