Ah well, we had our first real winter storm last thursday. They put some salt on the roads. So, that'll be it for my Corvette this year.Unhappy

I did the following to it for winter storage;
Checked all fluids
Oil change
Topped off fuel tank + fuel stabilizer
Dryer sheets in and around the car
Moth balls around garage floor
Put on car cover

I store mine in an unheated detached garage.
I start it up & let it run for about 15-20 minutes every 10 days or so.
I pump the brakes alot & pull it back and forth in the driveway, weather permitting.

Did I miss anything?

Kevin, you can also cut up some bars of Irish Spring soap, and leave it inside the interior. The critters don't like the scent........(I do and you might like it also) I guess the dryer sheets and the moth balls do pretty much the same. If you stored your baby in a car bag...you could also add dessicant bags to absorb any moisture. Another thing that can be done is; plastic put under the care, where the moisture comes up from. Keep those brakes pumped, as you said you would. Thumbs%20Up

I'll give the plastic on the floor a try.
Prolly Home Depot or Lowes will have something that'll work.
Thanks for the good idea!

I feel sorry for you guys that live in the "snow belt". I think the last snow we had in eastern NC was in 1989. We're fortunate to be able to drive our cars year-round. Maybe it's because we live in the "bible belt". Big%20smile

I tried it and ended up going over to Corvette Enthusiast when a buddy of mine got me a subscription for Christmas a few years back.

When I was looking at them both, it seemed to me that CE had more C-3 stuff than CF, which seemed more geared to C5/C6 articles.

Both are good mags with good stories, I just prefer CE.  It has a dedicated chunk of the mag to each year and very seldom doesn't cover all years.

They also have a price guide covering all years if sold the previous month ( I realize they are 4 or so months difference in cover date vs real life) and once a year do a really in depth look at the corvette market.

I managed to get mine washed and covered in 50 mph winds last Saturday.  The temp was in the 60's.  Yesterday we had high winds both directions and went from a high in the 70's around 2:30pm to a low of 17 by 10pm.  I really wasn't ready for a 53 degree temp swing.  Glad I washed her on Saturday!

Kevin(and anyone else), I forgot to mention that I keep a fan(2, actually) blowing under my '74 all the time...24/7, year 'round. People that come over always ax me why the heck I have the fans running. I do it to keep the moisture/humidity down in the garage, and keep the floors dry all the time...no sweating = no surface rusting of parts.
Wednesday and Thursday of this week, the fog was so thick and heavy, with humidity @ 100%...the bricks on our house were just dripping with moisture....my garage floor was/is dry.

Could just move to San Diego the normal weather keeps things nice and fresh.  I have to keep mine in the Carport do not have to have a fan to keep the air circulating.  We don't all have garages out here.  Not really a requirement.

I was shocked to see snow in Las Vegas earlier this week. Then we got hammered yesterday by the same storm. Another one coming tomorrow and then another on Tuesday.
Looks like it's going to be a white Christmas and a looooong winter.Cry
