It's the same kind of additive as Water Wetter and a lot more expensive. Whether it's any more effective I have no idea.

I use water wetter by Redline on two of my cars and it dropped the temp about 8-10 degrees and alot less expensive than 40 below.

Great, if I can get the temp down by 10 deg. I'll be tickled pink. I've never been keen on additives, but hey, if it works without gumming things up it may be just the ticket.

That is a very nice looking car.

You will have to  drain your antifreeze and lower the mixing percentage for it to work properly.  If you google Water Wetter it tells you what it does.  It is pretty neat.  I have several friends that put it in their rods and it worked well for them likewise.   Auto Zone sells the stuff for under $10.00 per 8 oz.

I picked up the additive yesterday and hope to flush and fill today.
Thanks for the info and the kind words Gurtz. Actually, I think it would look really good in dark blue with a chromed out 330hp/350ci engine. Wink

I can't speak from experience Rick, and as I mentioned earlier I've never been pro additives. These products have been around for a good while and are intended for
commercial engines, racing and street rods. They are produced and distributed by reputable companies. There are cautions on the labels to keep off plated, polished, painted, powder coated, and magnesium surfaces. And of course the usual warnings about eyes,
swallowing, etc. I don't recall a mention of aluminum heads or even aluminum radiators. It does state it will not affect factory warranty. That's about all the info I can offer right now.

I use 2 bottles Water Wetter with about 20% glycol/ 80% distilled water. This has proven to be my best mix for a good 8-10 degree reduction here in Phoenix - Water Wetter has allowed me to go another summer without buying an aluminum radiator/Fans. By next year though I will have it.
The stuff does work but I believe you must get the ratio of glycol/water mix correct.

Another one that works well is Justice Brothers cooling system treatment.   Does a nice job.

The way those products work is by reducing the surface tension of the watter.  This allows it to transfer heat easier, so it absorbs more heat from the engine, and dumps more heat from the radiator that the coolant would otherwise transfer.
