I'm in the process of flushing the cooling system on my 78 with new radiater hoses , heater hoses with a murry shut off on the intake, thermostat,  and clean-up or replacement of the coolant recovery tank.Smile

Does anyone know how i'm supposed to get that recovery tank out from under the right fender and around the AC plumbing without disasembly of that same plumbing?Unhappy...and no, i'm not going to cut a big hole in the fender; at least not yet !!------HELP !!

Hello, In my Turbo set up its Just about Impossible to Remove it and I have Melted 3 of them from Exhaust Heat. I'n my car its pretty Easy to remove once the Engine is out of the way !!  I am building a New Tank out of Aluminum so that it can Handle the Heat a bit better. Once the tank is Unbolted You might be able to Roll it around the Inner Fender Forward and get it Out. If Your just Cleaning it it might be Time well Spent to do as good of Job as You can in Place. Hi Richard....another Richard here.

Mr. Gasket makes tanks out of alum. and SS and i,ve been thinking about installing one of these . I have removed all of the air intake ductwork so I have plenty of room to place a tank where the ductwork layed along the right fender.

My goodness Richard, that 80 is knock-down gorgeous. I never thought of 89-90 wheels on a C3........beautifulThumbs%20Up

Richard,

I pulled mine out a couple of times lately without breaking the AC lines. Once unbolted from the wheel well it's just a matter of manuevering it around some until you hit the right combination.

If I remember correctly, pull it out then turn it towards the AC pump while rolling it on it's side while lifting it up over the valve cover.

Not a very good description, but it will come out of there!

Yeah Rich, I thought it would make a good vanity plate but just haven't gotten around to getting it yet.
