Now that I am going back with the copy cat of the original engine in my 68. 427 big block, I am thinking about reducing the heat under the hood so I am going with manifold rather than headers.
A aluminum radiator, in which I was going to go with DeWitt with the elect fan. My mechanic told me to get the aluminum radiator but put the elect fans on the front side of the radiator (where the air first comes in) I guess a pull type fan, mechanic said just reverse the polarity and the fan will go in reverse, and keep the engine fan in place. That way you have two ways to keep the engine bay cool. I am not sure the elect fans would fit on the outside with the cross braces that are welded in front of the original radiator.
Has anyone tried this before?
