Question - I put a dual electric fan on my 1978 because it runs hot and I live in the desert. I have it nice and tight to the radiator. It almost feels as if the air is blowing from the engine toward the front of the car. I have the fans wired to always be on. Is there any way to verify what is actually going on with fan direction and how would I reverse airflow if needed?

Thanks,

Chris

If you can feel it blowing air towards the front, the fans are definitely running backwards. All you need to do to correct that is swap the wires for the fans. For instance, if you have a red wire on terminal "A", and a black wire on terminal "B", just swap them so the red is on B, and the black is on A. Then the fans will run in the other direction. Thumbs Up

One caveat here...you may need to verify the shape/orientation of the fan blades. The make "pusher" fans for in front of the rad, and "puller" fans for behind the rad. The blades on these two types are different, and they normally will NOT work if the fan motor is running backwards from the design. Do you have a pic of the fan blades....that would help determine if it will work just swapping the wires.
