Well I installed the new radiator (went with an original replacement, which I got for a song!), added Water Wetter (thanks to forum advice), and the motor runs super cool!!  Of course, that is without A/C (another issue) and the WX hasn't turned hot yet.

BUT . . . the interior gets pretty warm!! Censored  Not a problem now (70s), but this summer (and high 90s) that will be a show-stopper.  I know there are old threads that discuss this, and I will research them, but any suggestions of where to start looking?

This forum is worth its weight in Slick 50!! Wink

Insulation is paramount, especially protection from a cat. or headers.

Look for any openings in the firewall that are allowing heat into the corkpit. Also shutoff valves on BOTH heater hoses are a must. There are previous posts about both on here.

I have shut off valves on both hoses, makes a big difference. NAPA has them, one is 3/4" and the other is 5/8". They are nice and compact.
