Ya I agree, but I'd like to see maybe a narrative on how this is done. I think this might even be something I can tackle myself.  Thanks.

I have a quarter turn ball valve on one hose and a simple heater shut off valve from advance auto on the other.  I will go take a picture and load them up.  This is as easy as cutting the hose, putting the hose ends on the valve and clamping them down with hose clamps.  Too easy.

Easy to tackle boys.  Go to Auto Zone or other parts store, get a 5/8 & 3/4 hose shutoff gate valve and 4 1" screw clamps.  drain the radiator down.

Ensure the valve works and that the nut that the Tee handle goes thru to screw down the valve is tight.

On the passenger side of the car, find the heater hoses, one to the intake manifold and one to the water pump.  Select the appropriate hose for the cutoff, cut the hose where the shutoff is accessible but not necessarily visible to keep a clean look on the car and insert a clamp over the hose, then insert the gate valve into the appropriate 5/8 or 3/4 hose.  Repeat for the other end of the hose and for both valves.

I'll look to see if I have a pic I can post.

I cant get my camera under my car without jacking it up but I installed mine where they are not visible.  The heater hoses go down from the engine just behind the right front wheel well, then make a sharp bend upward to the heater core.  I installed mine just before the bend.  I can reach under the car and open or close them and its only twice a year that will be necessary.
