68 non-a/c heater core query:

My car's original heater core came out long enough ago that I don't recall the correct way to reinstall the retainer clip that is furthest from the core tubes; and I don't want to force the clip into position unless I'm really sure which way it goes!

If the diagram is in my 68 ASM then I haven't been able to locate it; ditto my two aftermarket manuals.

Would someone advise?  Thanks in advance, and

Cheers from Down Under

Thank you, but that's the a/c heater setup, and I've asked for the non-a/c version.  They're VERY different to each other.

Found these links on the web that will help someone with their own non-a/c heater core changeout; but no pics of the clips for me!

Did locate these helpful pics; I'm posting them so they can help the next person.

I haven't been able to find any pics that would help in any of my service manuals, even for the Mid Year cars. Even my Vintage Mitchell just gives generic stuff...not very useful at all....Unhappy
