Ok, I'm at the point of installing the fan shroud, radiator, and radiator support. I've got the shroud in the car and it's not bolted in, just pushed as far towards the engine as I can get it. I've got the radiator installed in the support. When I drop the combo into the car, the support is sitting a quarter to a half inch too high. The front holes line up with the holes on the frame. The side holes don't line up. Does the support site on top of the frame? It doesn't look like it can fit underneath the frame. Any pictures of an installed unit? Of course I didn't take a picture of the bottom of the support before I took it out...Dead

It's possible that the front end(body) has sagged down while the support was out. You may need to jack it up(front only), and put stands on the frame behind the wheels, and let the front of the frame settle down some.
The rad. support is all that holds the front bodywork up.
That's all I got...Adams' Apple2006-11-12 21:10:41

I have to agree with Joel, if that support was out for any length of time, and the body unsupported, something has drooped a bit.

It's been out for a few months. It won't take months to flex back will it? Is there any way to "help" it happen beides letting gravity do it's thing?

Is it the same rad support that came out of the car? Or replaecment? Ther are two L brackets attached to the frame extension that you ca get some adjustment up and down. Check the door gap at the door and fender.

It's the same support. We were able to gently persuade it into place. Letting it sit on jack stands seems to have helped. We'll know for sure when we fit the hood later today...

That's why I left mine in when changing out the engine.  You need to tilt the engine a little more but it keeps everything lined up correctly.

Just a final update on this issue. The hood is back on and fits perfectly. Letting it settle combined with a little gentle prying did the trick. Wink
