What do you think it's worth.  Complete rolling chassis, engine, tranny, rear end wheels, tires, brakes.  If you could start it up and sit on a bucket, you could drive it down the street.  NO RUST ISSUES and the engine and frame match numbers.  There just isn't a body or interior.  The owner put the body on an aftermarket frame with C6 running gear.

I have an opportunity to buy it, then probably resell it whole or for parts.

What do you think it's worth?  I could probably get it for under $3000.

I would seem you can get numbers matching 69 with 100,000 miles on them from the high teens to the low twenties.  (Just a quick look on the net).  So assuming it had that kind of millage and there is no way to prove that now.  While it is illegal to tamper with the Odometer on a car there are no laws about after the engine is out of the car.

Replacing the body would cost $$$ if you could find it so parting it out would be the only thing and then the numbers matching would be less important.  I would be careful unless you wanted to sit on it for a long time.  You have to advertise it and put up with trying to sell it.

I would check ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Corvette-rolling-frame-chassis-restored-and-correct-/231167349892 in 3 days this will give you an idea if there is any interest and how much he gets.  If there are more than one buyer interested you can see if you can contact them about your frame.  If he get his $2,500 for it then you obviously have a wonderful deal.  If not you may have something that is wonderful but not marketable now.

Good luck
