RIK'S has them, as do others, such as ZIP I'm sure Larry at would have them, too.

It's gonna be tough to change the pinion(front) seal in the car....not impossible, but close to it! It's also gonna be next to impossible to change the side yoke seal with the diff installed in the car. The yokes are held into the diff from the inside with snap-rings. The diff needs to be separated(opened up) to get to the snap-rings. Soooo...that being the case, I'd suggest removing the diff from the car, and doing all of it at once....

Tat was my plan; however, I dropped the exhaust this morning and noticed the front leaking also.  By the time I change out the seals, fluids, gaskets, etc. and hope that I don't mess her up, I am considering buying a rebuilt differential from Eckler's sending my core in for the credit.

The unit is not noisy, acting up, etc. but she is slinging stuff all over the underside of the vehicle. and will fail if I don't act now.

Anyone done the swap out with Eckler's or do you recommend another company for the swap?

The local dude who did my other car is outrageous price wise.

Thanks,

Give Jim Stevens a call at 608-365-0911. His business name is The Corvette Guys, Suspension Specialists. We are working on him for sponsership. I think you will like his prices. Does all the work himself and backs it up.  Dick

Whether you rebuild your original diff or go with a swap I'd recommend drilling/tapping a drain plug into it.  I plan to do that when I tear into that project on "The Toy" to make changing the fluid a much more pleasant task.

I have used Jim Stevens for rear wheel bearings and spindles, and a complete rear wheel bearing unit. He does good work, ships on time and will back up his work with a warranty.

Nows the time to change the rear gear ratio if you want to.
