We had the LT-1 up on the rack and I finally found what the vibration was under the car.
The output shaft has quite a bit of play in it. The u-joints are solid.

Is it possible to replace that bearing without having to pull the tranny?

Do you mean the yoke has play in it, or the shaft on the trans itself?? Two different issues there.
IF the yoke is moving, there is a bushing in the tailhousing that can be replaced, but it ain't easy to do in the car, and it does take a specialized tool to do it in the car.
If you remove the yoke, and the tailshaft itself has play, it depends on how much play we're talking aboot...the shaft WILL have some play in it, even NEW. That's one of the purposes of the bushing the yoke rides in...to provide stability to the rear part of the shaft.
If you remove the yoke, look carefully at the surface of it that rides in the bushing for ANY wear...if you can feel it with your fingers, it's too much, and the yoke should be replaced. If you can lift up on the yoke, and fluid runs out, then there is some major wear on the yoke and/or the bushing...
You will normally have a small amount of up/down/sideways play in the yoke, even with a new bushing. Don't know of any particulr specs for allowable play, but you should be able to just feel a little.

Thanks Joel. I knew you knew.

It whatever the u-joint attaches to and I thought that was the output shaft.

The shaft that goes into the tranny, when you move the driveline seems to have quite a bit of play in it.

It moves quite a bit but no fluid.
At about 50-60 mph I can feel something kind of slappin me in the arse.

I had checked the u-joints before but this time I went a little further.

Now that the tires are new and we took care of those vibrations I would like to get this last one also.

Joel, plan on being in the nw anytime soon?Wink

The u-joint is attached to the yoke, and the yoke slides onto the trans output shaft.
I would suggest removing the yoke, and taking a look at it, to see if it is worn where it rides in the bushing. If the yoke looks/feels OK, then the bushing is prolly worn. Unfortunately, the trans really needs to come out to replace the bushing. While there are special tools to do this with it in the car, I've found it to be easier to just pull the thing out, and do it on the bench.
