Unless Im dreamin' isnt the plug on top of the pumpkin on the driveshaft side where it is impossible to drain unless you have a turkey baster?

The drain plug is on the part not their I thought I should add the 63-79 for others rraider12009-04-06 21:50:53

Your 81 should have the "batwing" differential cover on it I believe.  The drain plug is on the passengers side rear of the differential cover.  Actually the entire batwing is the differential cover.  It takes a hex wrench to unscrew the plug, cant remember the size.

Geeeesh....I need to get out more....
