I purchased the vet a year ago and spent the winter replacing all the 4 wiring harnesses. I put the dash and all interior back in, I put the battery in the compartment and connected it and the courtesy lights stay on. I closed the doors (all door switches (4) have been replaced). I did not start the car yet. The headlight switch is not turned all the way as to keep the lights on, the switches go in and out with no effect on the turning the lights out. There is no time delay in the 1968 corvette. I replaced the radio with after market and there was a gray wire that was not needed in the harness so I left it loose (not sure if this has anything to do with it) Any ideas to get these light to turn off?. I do not want to pull the fuse as a solution. I just have basic car knowledge. Thank you.

Grey wire is typically dash lights for instruments, radio, etc.  Should not affect courtesy lamps.
