Looks like I'm in the market of a 1982 cruise control part.

In the 1982 shop manual, its identifed as a "resume solenoid valve", with a .5 tan and a .8 black wired plug tongs built into the valve. I found the plug near the left hand side of the firewall, in the engine compartment, but no idea where this valve is nor even how it looks. My mechanic and I cannot find the valve. We're sure its missing, so now we're on the hunt for one! It seems to be the only item left to replace in order for the cruise control to finally work.

I need help in locating one...this "resume solenoid valve"!

Thanks!

Does the car have the cruise control transducer on the driver side fender, with the speedo cables on it?
This being an '82 w/Crossfire, I'm not all that familiar with the complete cruize set-up, but I can't remember ANY separate component for one other than the transducer, and the vacuum servo. Are ya'll certain the plug doesn't go to the transducer?
Then you have the "dump" valve that is actuated by the brake pedal, under the dash.
I may have to dig out some old manuals! Hopefully, someone else with an '82 can help more....

the resume solenoid is on a bracket with the transducer hopefully someone with an 82 can give you a picture. Mid america for a new transducer states that 82 owners will need to transfer their resume soleniod from the old part to the new.

The x-ducer has been replaced...with all appropiate attachments accounted for...and all connections made..whether for vacuum pressure or electrical.

Any electrical connnections that the new transducer has is labeled 'on' and 'engage'. No other marking or electrical components. I reviewed my old transducer and everything is accounted for as far as part issues go.

All wiring diagrams I view shows the 'resume solenoid valve' as a complete and separate unit.

Thanx for the help so far !!
