Back up lights worked fine prior to replacing shifter console, e-brake cover, new carpet and some work behind the dash center section. Does any of the wiring for the back up lights run around/through any of these areas? Checked fuse first thing..thats okay. Seemed to be plenty of wires and connectors under shifter console. Problem under there?? Confused

NO reverse light components under the console on a 4 speed car, so the problem must be elsewhere. If the turn signals work, then the fuse is OK. The problem may be under the car, at the switch, which is attached tot eh side of the trans. Check the other thread from today for a visual. The wire colors are the same as the '72 in the other thread...pink from the fuse, to the t-sig flasher, then to the reverse light switch on the trans. Then it turns into a light green wire back to the lamps in the rear panel.
