My 1971 Corvette's blinker system just decided to not work anymore! All its doing now is just flicker when I turn either the left or right blinkers on! All the bulbs light up, (seems like a short somewhere?) Head lights and tail lights still work fine... All fuses in fuse panel look fine and none are burned out...I tried to find the flasher/hazard convenience center? If that's correct for my year... Please advise! Thanks!

Try adding some blinker fluid to the flasher. If that doesn't work, replace the flasher.
The 4-way hazard flasher should be located in the fuse box, but the turn signal flasher, if memory serves, is clipped under the dash on the passenger side, behind the map pocket. Someone with a '71 could confirm or deny that location, but I'm fairly certain it is there on the '71.

I did find something under the passenger dash area just behind the map pouch. It's a metal looking square flasher fuse that's plugged into a red/black wire that's just hanging there...I ordered a flasher & bulb kit from Corvette America and in that kit are 2 round metal looking flasher units, a 2 prong and 3 prong. I tried to pull the original one off the wiring under the dash but its really on there! I'm alittle nervous about prying it off...I'm sure its just old and been there since new.... Where would I put blinker fluid on my Corvette? And can i get it from a local auto store? I will re-try next weekend! thanks for the help!

But seriously now...flashers can be square or round. What you found is most likely the turn signal flasher, and it should be a two-prong flasher. TO be sure, hold it in your hand, and hit the turn signal switch. You should be able to feel it click at least once. It might also get hot if you leave the turn signal on for very long. It may well be stuck on there, but it will come off. Wiggle the connector side/side while pulling on it. You might also stick a small screwdriver under the connector and pry on it easily. If it is really corroded, that might be the problem with your turn signals....the corrosion is just keeping the voltage from completing the circuit.

Thank You!!! And I did fall for your Blinker Fluid! Its my first Corvette so who knew what Chevrolet came up with! :-)

When you remove the flasher module, there may be a capacitor jumpered in there.   (A tan/grey electrical piece, with metal prongs stuck into the flasher plug, with the flasher module stuck in there with it.)  If you've got a stock ignition system, keep it, it's there to prevent radio noise.

And the location is right: on the right side, next to the door hinges, by the courtesy light.  If the blinkers are lighting up solid, a hundred bucks says that's your problem...
