Adams' Apple said: You can run the ground to just about anywhere on the block you want. The original ground cable goes from the frame, to the engine mount bolt on the passenger side. Anywhere on the block would work just as well, imo.
Thanks for that. On the 68 the ground cable runs from the engine mount, to the screw that holds the starter motor brace to the block. I'll take your advice and look for another spot on the block itself. Cheers.
