Greetings, I have been sorting out my exterior/interior lighting and I am down to the last problem.. Gauge lighting. So far I have chased all the exterior lighting issues down and have everything working outside the car.. Lights, tail lights, brake lights, marker lights. I also cleaned all the bulb sockets and replaced all bulbs, but not gauges yet. I did replace the light switch with a new one from Ecklers, definitley improved the feel of the switch.. much tighter than the older one, but still no gauge lighting. I also ordered the OsoEzee (sp?) wiring diagrams, but don't have them yet.

So I am hoping to get a few pointers on where to look, what to disassemble to get to those places where I may have a loose ground, disconnected wiring, etc.. BTW, The Interior cabin lighting does work when you turn the light switch fully counter clockwise, but gauge console and speedo/tach lighting is still not working.

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Pat

You can download or view wiring diagrams from my web page. Check ALL of the fuses...take them out and ohm them or use a test light on both sides...just eyeballing won't always tell if they are good. All of the instrument lighting runs off of one fuse. The courtesy lamps are on a separate circuit from the light switch.
Your problem has to be in the before fuse or after fuse circuit. everything after the fuse is a grey wire to all of the instrument lighting. Power TO the fuse comes from a dark green wire from the light switch. See if you have 12v on the dk green wire AT the light switch with the lights turned on. If yo do, then you should have 12v on both ends of the instrument light fuse also. If not, your problem is between the light switch and fuse box. If you do have 12v at the fuse, the problem is between the fusebox and the lamp sockets. Since NONE of the instrument lights work, my bet is the fuse is bad....Thumbs Up

Thanks for the details regarding the wiring off the switch to the fuse block and light bulbs. I will be at it again today and will take a look at the fuses.
