I let the car sit for two hours.  It restarted 3 times.

Define "won't restart".  Doesn't turn over or turns over but won't start.

79forever - This is an older post from back in the day. https://www.c3vr.com/vrforums/no-crank-82-need-help_message319966.html That said it may not apply to your situation due to your problem sounding like a heat soak issue. However ever bit of info helps. Good luck !

Been down the heat soak road.  I wrapped the started years ago with the fiberglass heat shield.

Check your ignition switch on top of the column . A rod from your key switch runs down to the switch. 2 small 5/16 screws hold it in place. I usually drop column, remove air ducts.

What should I look for?  I have never done this.  I saw on another post to try putting it in neutral and start also.

Since it's an automatic, try holding the key in the Start position while moving the tranny from Park to Drive to see if the starter tries in one of the non-neutral positions.  If it does then the neutral safety switch requires adjusting.

That was a good suggestion by 73Shark.

Tried it, only starts in park and netural.  Ran it the others day for not that long.  Pull in the driveway and was letting it run.  Car stopped running and would not restart.  Put my jump box on it and started right up.  The voltage light started coming on at low rpms a few months ago, only at low rpms.  May have a charging problem along w/ this issue.  Belt is pretty tight.
