Well , seems I haven't been here in quite some time . And, as usual, I have a question for all you smarter than I Vette guys Wink .
A couple weeks back, I went to start my toy, and, guess what ! It turned but wouldn't start .
Oh, in case you don't know the history of FRANKENVETTE , it's a '76 with a ' 94 LT1 .
So, to make a very long story, sort of, short , turns out the computer croaked Dead, water was in it, AND it shorted the OPTI-SPARK  Angry Angry Angry !
The computer is mounted on the drivers side inner fender . The car was covered all winter, never used in the snow or rain !
So , how could water possibly get in the computer ??? Condensation maybe ? It wasn't washed all winter, and, unfortunately, stays outside , as there is no room in my garage . Cry
So, who has an answer to that little riddle ? LOL

Condensation. When you say "water", do you mean dripping, or just moisture with corrosion?
The PCM should be pretty well weatherproof, since they stuck them under the hood on the C4 cars, but moisture CAN make it's way into them thru the connectors.
Same thing with the Opti...condensation...

Yep, you were pretty much correct Thumbs Up . Condensation it was. There was water, but not pouring out . Enough though to kill the computer . My other guess would have been that the computer was on its way out, and the water brought an early death . Dead . And now, to get a new one, spend another fortune, and get it up and running ! Angry .
