Oringinal owner of a 1969 C3. Ignition red wire runs to the plus side of the coil and the black condenser wire from the distributor runs to the minus side of the coil. There is also a condenser strapped to the side of the coil with one black wire coming from it. Does it connect to the plus or minus side of the coil? I assume its purpose is to reduce radio interference and is it necessary to connect it?

Thanks

Greetings, I have discovered the answer to my own question after a lenghty google search and since space is limited to the lengh of a post,  I will post two additional responces to my own question. Taken from a 1969 Corvette restoration manual, " A condenser was mounted on the side of the coil if the vehicle was equiped with a radio."  Now the answer of my question to which side of the coil did this condenser connect (+ or -) will follow.

Wish you all the very best and Merry Christmas to all.

Corvette Ignition Coils - No Fire In The Hole. This came from Corvette Fever.
Use a nut driver or a small wrench to loosen the securing nuts on the coil terminals and remove the leads; the positive side of the coil has a condenser lead attached in addition to a positive lead. if you remove all three leads first, you can check the coil right in the car with your multimeter.
