I am the owner of a true 1970 370hp 350 and i was looking to see the estimated value of the engine. The engine is stock for the exception of being bored .30 over and headers. I also have the original carburetor but its not currently on the engine. The engine runs fine and still has great power!
Here are the numbers:
Block:3970010
Block front pad: 70s416957 v0706ctk

The carb numbers are:
list-4555
3972121
903

Pics are from my phone so they arn't the greatest. The nova has been sitting in a garage waiting to be restored since the mid 80s so everything is a bit dusty.

The ctk code indicates an LT1 with transistor ignition.  That is the correct carb code.  It is being reproduced for about $350, so your has a little value.  The heads should be casting number 3927186.  If you have the correct TI ignition, it is worth $500.00.

That is a very common block casting number, and to use it in another Corvette, the block would need to be decked and new numbers stamped.  The fact that it has been bored is a big negative.

It is probably best to sell the heads and intake and carb separately, but I wouldn't expect to get a lot of money for a complete engine.

Thanks for the info. I know the 010 block was VERY common and was used in many applications.

If you get ready to sell it as a complete engine, let me know. One of my friends is looking for one for his Vette. We are in South Carolina.

Do you know where the car is that originally had this engine?  If so, can you provide that information.  I would be interested in reuniting the two.  Thanks, Greg 314-486-7127 or zigzakvettes@netscape.net

Keep in mind the carb is worth more than the engine, quite a bit more in fact.

A brand new 3972121 carb is now being offered for about $600.00.  That makes a used one worth a couple hundred, at most.  The new one is virtually identical to the original.

I do agree....but to have a correct date matching carb for NCRS is quite another thing entirely, and the '70 model year was very low production. MikeMc712010-07-06 08:10:43
