can i change the cam in my 81 without pulling the motor? if i remove the radiator is that enough room?

Soitainly!
You'll have to remove the raditater, and loosen the A/C condenser mounts, and that'll give ya enough room to wrangle the cam out, and back in. I did this prolly 20 times in my old '72, way back when.
Then again, my brother and I could rip the engine out of that thing in about 20 minutes, too, so....practice makes quick!

What cam are you going to use?

That's a good cam selection. Very torquey - had one in my Malibu with a 355 back in the day. Tire expenses were a problem...

IS this in a stock engine? The 268 might be a bit much with low compression. It'll sure sound good tho. IT will certainly give ya more bottom end torque, depending on the trans, and rear gear ratio. It's a good cam, fer sher.

i have the edelbrock intake and carb and i am so unhappy with the lack of power. my stock pickup has more balls.  kid starting school this month so engine swap will have to wait. im hoping this cam will add a little corvette to it.lol.
