Joel is absolutely correct. In a stock system installing exotic spark plugs only serves to enhance the spark plug maker's (and ad agency's) bank account at the expense of your wallet...but you do get a nice little decal in the box so you can place it in a conspicuous spot on your car so everyone knows what spark plugs you use. It's kinda reverse endorsement arrangement...instead of them paying you to endorse their product, you're paying them to endorse their product! Just joking...stock plugs are all you need.

The most important thing in selecting a spark plus is proper heat range. Unless you're trying to address a specific issue, the manufacturer's recommendation is all you need. Pick your brand. I have AC's in my '69 but I know many swear by NGK. Your money...your choice.

A second plug for the stock AC/Delco's here.

I think the technology of a carburated 350 calls for the stock plugs.

I wouldn't want to find out what the wrong plugs could do to my motor.

if you have more time than money, you can index your stock plugs and file the ground back so that the end stops over the center of the electrode, there are different thories but I index the plug so the open end of the electrode- ground face the top of the piston and filing back the ground helps unshroud the spark, or if you don't have the time for a little more money you can try GM's Rapid Fire plugs they work and they are way cheaper than Iridium and Split Fire is junk. anips2011-08-01 19:39:44

Where would be the best place to purchase GM's Rapid Fire plugs? They will work in a 350? Right?

yea, they will work in a small block, they are available at the chevy dealer and most auto parts store, just make sure you get the right heat range and type for your application, they will most likely be cheaper at auto parts, GM won"t give ya a break.

I used Delco R45TS when my motor was stock. Now that I'm doing some significant upgrades I'm wondering what plug to use. My engine builder suggested Autolite 26, but I like the Delcos. Any thoughts on what to use with the Vortec heads, 9.4:1 CR, mild cam?

Wow, who knew that choosing spark plugs could be so difficult. The 75-76 used a 41-100 with a .060 gap and I read in a forum that they figured this was more to do with the new emissions brought in in 1975 , then I seen a post that said the updated oem was with ac delco 41-110 and .40 gap. So I decided to go with latter , what do you think, am I safe with these and my new build
