TruFlex is the best way to go. It is semi-flexible, and makes it much easier to "fit" to the body lines with little or no grinding/filling. A solid 'glass cover is just that...solid. They NEVER fit right out of the box....they require quite a bit of finessing(grinding/filling), usually on  both the cover and the body to make them fit nice.
Also, the Truflex stuff will "give" a little if someone accidentally gives it a little love tap, whereas the fiberglass one will not...they usually crack. The Truflex stuff will still need a flex agent added to the paint to keep the paint from cracking....even if they tell you it doesn't.
The original style urethane bumper covers are still available, but super expensive. Tongue

+1 on the Trueflex only because I just put a FG rear bumper on a friends '75. Very little if any movement to fit the car and it was extremely thin in some areas. Looked great after paint but I doubt if it's going to last very long. Let us know how the Trueflex works out for you if you go that route.

I couldn't say...I've only used one, but it was a good quality piece. I got that one from RIK'S CORVETTE PARTS. He's a great feller....dealt with him & his wifey many times. Other parts places have them too, but I can't say anything about the quality, nor can I even remember who the actual manufacturer was of the one I did use, but I think it was ACI. Wink

I have a Tru-Flex front bumper on the '81. Much easier to fit to the car. I ordered mine right from ACI.  http://acivette.com
